As one of Alabama's premier sports and recreation destinations, The Land at Saraland was designed to bring athletes, families, and the community together through high-quality sports and recreational experiences. Located in Saraland, AL, the complex features state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities that support competition, recreation, and community events.
Traditional bleacher seating often leaves spectators exposed to direct sunlight for hours at a time, leading to heat buildup, discomfort, and less enjoyment during games. The facility needed a shade solution that would deliver extensive coverage without obstructing sightlines.
To elevate the spectator experience throughout the outdoor sports fields, they chose a series of 16 custom 3-Dome Flat Tilted Dugout Cantilevers strategically placed over bleacher seating areas. These structures provide much-needed protection from Alabama's intense sun while enhancing the appearance and functionality of the facility.
The cantilever design allows the powder coated steel posts to be positioned behind the bleachers, providing unobstructed views of the field while providing generous shade coverage.
The completed project significantly improves the spectator experience and visitors can enjoy cooler, more comfortable seating areas during practices, league play, and tournament events.
Beyond comfort, the shade structures contribute to the overall appearance of the complex, reinforcing its reputation as a first-class sports and recreation venue.
