Garden City, Texas
Glasscock Independent School District (ISD) is a prime example of how a small, rural school district in Texas can offer a world-class education to its students. With a focus on individualized attention and a supportive learning environment, the district is committed to helping its students succeed in all areas of their lives. Serving the community of Glasscock County, it provides education to students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district's strong sense of community is evident in the active involvement of parents, teachers, and community members who work together to ensure that students receive the best education possible.
Recently, Glasscock ISD made a significant investment in upgrading its playground facilities. The district partnered with Superior Playground to install a Super Dome to cover their large playground, a Hip End structure to cover their smaller playground, and several Dual Column Umbrellas to shade benches. In addition, the district created shaded outside seating and picnic areas using smaller Hip End shades outside the playground area.
These upgrades have not only enhanced the look of the playground but have also provided much-needed shade for students and teachers. Glasscock ISD selected a beautiful red and dark gray color scheme in order to match the school's signature colors. The Super Dome and Hip End structures are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and provide ample shade to keep the playground cool and comfortable. The Dual Column Umbrellas provide additional shade to benches, making it possible for students and teachers to rest and relax while enjoying the outdoors.
Overall, Glasscock ISD's investment in its playground facilities demonstrates its commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment for its students. The district's focus on individualized attention, supportive learning, and community involvement has made it a model for other small, rural school districts to follow.
