Stillwater, Oklahoma
Stillwater, Oklahoma, is home to one of the most renowned collegiate tennis programs in the country, the Cowgirl and Cowboy tennis teams of Oklahoma State University (OSU). To further enhance the overall experience for players and spectators alike, OSU sought to outfit the tennis stadium seating and walkways with Superior Shade. As a university that frequently hosts thrilling tennis tournaments, it was imperative for OSU to create a standout stadium that not only showcased its commitment to excellence but also provided a comfortable and shaded environment for fans to enjoy.
Collaborating closely with a talented landscape architect, Superior Recreational Products took on the challenge of designing a custom, double Arched Cantilever shade structure that perfectly complemented the stadium's overall aesthetic. The shade structure had to be not only practical but also visually appealing, in order to blend seamlessly with the stadium's design. The vibrant and eye-catching fabric color was carefully selected to mirror the iconic orange branding of OSU, further reinforcing the university's strong identity and sense of pride.
Since its installation in May 2014, this shade structure has consistently proven its durability and quality, effectively shielding spectators from the sun and ensuring their comfort. Made from high-quality materials, it can withstand harsh weather conditions and remain in good condition for years to come.
With its sleek and stylish design, this shade structure has seamlessly integrated into the stadium's appeal, serving a practical purpose that has undoubtedly become an integral part of the stadium's allure. Whether fans are passionately cheering on their favorite players or simply enjoying the thrilling atmosphere, they can now do so without worrying about the discomfort of harsh sunlight. As the years pass, the shade structure continues to faithfully serve its purpose, standing as a testament to OSU's commitment to providing an outstanding sporting experience for all. The shade structure has become a point of pride for the university and is a testament to the success of its commitment to excellence.
